Does moissanite change color or tarnish over time?

It never fades but requires care:  

- Physical properties are extremely stable and will not change color naturally.  

- Common causes of “darkening”:  

  Build-up of oil on the surface (regular cleaning with detergent + soft-bristled toothbrush).  

  Prolonged exposure to chlorine/sulfur chemicals (remove when swimming, spas).  

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear?

Hardness of 9.25 for real-world performance:  

- Second only to diamonds (10), higher than rubies and sapphires (9)  

- Durability Test:  

  ✅ Normal wear for 20 years without noticeable wear and tear  

  ✅ Can withstand occasional knocks (but sharp parts still need to be protected)  

- Avoid mixing with diamonds, long-term friction may cause minor scratches.
