Color sources of colored moissanite
- Coating technology: Pink, blue and green colors are achieved by surface coating (color layers may wear off over time).
- Intrinsic color: Natural moissanite is mostly nearly colorless or light yellow/green, darker colors need to be treated artificially.
- Common colors:
- Pink gold: romantic girly style, suitable for Valentine's Day design.
- Blue: imitation of blue diamonds, cool and advanced.
- Rainbow color: plated with multi-layer film, changing under the light (similar to the effect of opal).
Selection of key parameters
- Color stability: PVD coating process is preferred (more wear-resistant than ordinary plating).
- Cutting: the princess side needs to be good symmetry, to avoid “light leakage” or dark areas.
- Size: bracelet main stone recommended 4-6mm (about 0.5-1ct visual effect).
